Forward Riding Series Part 22 – Communication with the Horse – Progression from the Elementary to Intermediate Level
Part 22 of Susan Deal’s “Forward Riding Series – Exercises for a Rider’s First Year”
As the rider progresses in her abilities, her communication with her horse becomes more fine-tuned. The rider is not only able to feel where the horse is and what the horse is doing, but to affect that movement. In this topic Susan gives her student a specific plan to make various transitions throughout the ring. This exercise works on the rider’s timing, effective use of the aids and leads to a more sophisticated communication level with the horse.
Running Time: 2 minutes and 59 seconds
