Circle of Influence: What It Takes to Make a Performance Horse Perform His Best
The well known proverb, “it takes a village to raise a child,” can easily be applied to the development of our equine athletes. The industry has specialists available to cater to every aspect of the horse’s performance, literally from head to toe. Ideally, the performance horse has a harmonious team working together, enabling the horse to enter the show ring in peak condition. This video is about Grand Prix horse, “Leroy” and the people in his circle of influence who work in conjunction with one another to make sure he’s in top form. Leroy has what it takes, the conformation and the willingness to do his job, and gets the rest of what he needs from his rider/trainer, veterinarian, farrier, body worker, nutritionist, dentist and the list goes on!
